Calling all
"Row Rats" and Cannery Row fans to volunteer
as greeters to the Lara-Soto Adobe (460 Pierce St.)
during Monterey's annual "Christmas In The Adobes."
It was John Steinbeck's home in 1944 where he finished
Cannery Row and began The Pearl.
No experience
needed! Just help us greet several hundred
guests to Steinbeck's adobe between 5-9 PM
TONIGHT! Saturday, December 12th.
We distribute
historic flyers about the Steinbeck adobe
and serve cookies and Kalisa's famous "Wassail Bowl" of
hot, spiced Martinelli's apple cider to guests.
